As part of the ministry of The Plain Gospel Mission, guided working mission trips are available to those churches interested in Missions and who would like to expose their youth group, men’s group or Church body to the Mission field.
With the emphasis placed on evangelism, the group will take an active role in taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Mexico. Your church group may participate in Ministry programs, or in the actual building of churches, Sunday school rooms, or even restrooms as well as missions.
Ministry programs may involve working in a Vacation Bible School for local children, handing out Bible Tracts to the local people and inviting them to evening services where you may be singing or sharing your testimony through an interpreter. You may be involved in planting a new “church” where there is no one else presenting the Gospel. You may even be helping in the Albergue, (shelter) where there are many young teens living, or in the Children’s home for the younger children. Your daily testimony is a powerful way to reach the lost around you. You may have the opportunity to show God’s love by participating in a medical clinic, providing clothing and food for the needy; or by simply reaching out and shaking a person’s hand and saying “Jesus te ama”(Jesus loves you).
An important part of your mission trip experience will be the daily devotions with which each day is started. During your time on the mission field, you will be encouraged to draw nearer to God and to see His great majesty in the surrounding mountains and in the lives of the people around you. You will be given the opportunity to become friends with the mission team there in Mexico as well as with Godly people who are there to serve with you.
